Based on information published by UCLA, the average person has 70,000 thoughts per day. That’s just over 48 thoughts every minute!
To get the most out of our minds, we need to organize our thoughts and work out what we really want to accomplish in our lives. We need to create goals that inspire us to get up daily and take action.
Setting goals is not as difficult as most people think. All you need is a blank sheet of paper and a pen to get started!
Think about the lifestyle you want to create in 5 years. Your health, relationships, finances… where you want to live, the car you want to drive, the places you want to visit…
Most people set goals of earning a certain amount of money every month. This type of goal does not have much power if you don’t really know what you want the money for.
You need to be clear on what you really want. Visualize your dream lifestyle, work out what you really want and then set a goal to earn the money required to make it a reality.
Write down your goals in present tense, as if you have already accomplished it. This will program your subconscious mind to work on your goals better.
Once you have written out your long term goals (5 years), write down your goals for the next year, and then for the next month.
Once you have your monthly goals written down, you can break them down to daily tasks that you need to perform to keep you on track.
Every day, read out your goals in the morning and just before you go to bed. This will allow them to sink into your subconscious mind.
The power of written goals is truly amazing. It will keep you focused on what you really want out of life. Once you put in a time frame for achieving each of your goals, your subconscious mind will inspire your to take actions to accomplish them.
